Gurney & White

Gurney and White are an online retailer of plumbing and electrical goods. Offering a large range of products they needed a basis to sell to a wider audience. Now with their bespoke website built from the ground up they have been selling products for a number of years. GWT Media's director Richard Thompson originally built the site and now we deal with the upkeep and maintenance of the website. Under going a redesign in October/November 2006 the site is continually growing and improving.

GWT Media also deal with the company's internal network, maintaining it and administering their in house servers

All Lighting

All Lighting store dedicated to lighting supplies online.  New store features a more WEB2.0 feel than previously implemented eCommerce sites by GWT. Site makes use of the popular jquery library to speed development and provide backward compatibility for older browsers or those without javascript support.

Carver Umbrellas has been trading since 1919. Their new online site aims to increase awearness about their company and showcase their unique products. Products including bookmakers umbrellas and caddy covers to name but a few.

Richard Thompson is one of GWT Media's directors. His personal site was built by him and contains a blog about his life and technical information he finds useful. His site is hosted by us.

A forum run by us encouraging water sports in Kent and Sussex. Covering a wide rang of sports from kite-surfing to water-skiing and surfing.

Post Pals is an organization aiming to put a smile on sick children's faces by sending post and gifts. We have learnt a hand to Post Pals by donating hosting and also also helped with redesigning the site to be more accessible by those with visual impairment.

We have paid particular attention to CAPTCHA on the site making sure that input by users is validated. However, we found the standard method of image verification is not friendly for people using screen readers. Because of this we implemented a aural representation for users who have difficulty using a standard image verification.

We have also done some work for other companies in the IT industry. Work has been carried out because these companies may have too large a work load or may not have the expertise required to finish a project. To protect their identities and their customers we do not release their information.  If you require us to assist you with any projects and would like us and/or yourselves to remain anonymous this is not a problem and we will be happy to do this for you.
